TFI International acquired Entreposage Marco, a Canada-based food-grade tank hauler, the parent company announced on LinkedIn Wednesday.
Entreposage Marco specializes in edible products, including various oils, liquid cream yeast, sweeteners and fruit juices, according to TFI. The acquired carrier had 15 power units and 14 drivers as of 2023, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
While TFI doesn’t expect another major M&A deal like its Daseke acquisition from December, Entreposage Marco fits into the carrier’s strategy of tuck-ins taking advantage of a persistently challenging freight market.
The Montréal-based freight giant has scooped up several smaller trucking companies in Canada this year as it prepares for an anticipated spin-off of Daseke and its other TL units.
TFI’s other acquisitions this year include Canada-based waste hauler Transport M.J. Lavoie and cross-border LTL carrier Hercules Forwarding.
