TFI International promoted three executives to newly created positions, effective Jan. 1, a company spokesperson told Trucking Dive last week.
Kal Atwal, an EVP since 2019, was promoted to Senior EVP, overseeing the company’s Canadian LTL divisions, including its package and courier divisions, as well as JHT Holdings’ logistics operations in the U.S.
Atwal joined the company in 2016 as VP of finance for TForce Logistics Canada and became president of TForce Logistics Canada in 2018.
Brad Glassford and John Harrington have been promoted to EVP. Glassford was previously VP of operations for TFI’s stainless tank divisions, while Harrington was president and CEO of subsidiary JHT Holdings.
Glassford served in various leadership roles at Contrans Flatbed Group since 2006 and joined TFI when it acquired the company in 2012. He is responsible for transload operations in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, and he also manages specialized liquid stainless tank operations and intermodal operations.
Before joining TFI in an acquisition in 2023, Harrington had led JHT as CEO since 2012. He has more than 30 years of experience in transportation and logistics.
“Congratulations to our outstanding executives on their well-deserved promotions!” the company said on LinkedIn.
The executive promotions come ahead of a planned multibillion-dollar acquisition in 2025 and a subsequent spinoff of Daseke and its other truckload holdings.
