Ryder System will relocate to a new headquarters in South Florida.
The transportation provider secured a long-time lease in Coral Gables, months after announcing it sold and was leasing back its current headquarters, also in Miami-Dade County.
The relocation will help the company with its shift toward remote and hybrid work. The company employs nearly 50,000 people throughout North America, and approximately 800 will be based in the new headquarters.
Starting next year, the company could occupy two floors at the Colonnade office tower at 2333 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, which will eventually have the Ryder name and logo and be renamed Ryder Colonnade, the company said.
The new headquarters will not just feature office space.
“The space will also include a customer innovation center showcasing ... advanced vehicle technology, e-commerce fulfillment, collaborative logistics, fleet optimization, and customer-facing automation technologies,” Ryder said.
