Radiant Logistics acquired the operations of Minnesota-based brokerage Viking Worldwide, the companies announced this month.
Viking Worldwide, through its operating brand, Service By Air, specializes in high-tech, brand management, life sciences and trade shows, according to the announcement. Terms were not disclosed, though some of the purchase price is payable in subsequent periods based on performance.
“The Viking transaction represents another great example of our work with our strategic operating partners," said Bohn Crain, Radiant’s founder and CEO, in the announcement.
Viking will continue to operate under the Service By Air brand, and the company is expected to rebrand to Radiant over the course of 2024, as Viking's Minneapolis operations combine with existing company-owned operations in the area, the companies said.
Radiant acquired the Service By Air brand in 2015, and its acquisition of the rest of the company’s operations ensures continued success for its customers and employees at its locations in Minneapolis and Houston, Viking CEO Mike Rothmeyer said in the announcement.
“It has been rewarding to be a part of the building momentum of the Radiant network over the years, and I am excited to now transition the business,” he said. “We look forward to flying the Radiant flag in both Minneapolis and Houston.”
