Penske Logistics promoted Jeff Jackson, EVP of operations for dedicated contract carriage, as its new president, effective Jan. 1.
Jackson is taking over following the planned retirement of Marc Althen, the Reading, Pennsylvania-based logistics and supply chain provider said last week.
Brian Hard, the president of Penske Transportation Solutions, praised Jackson for his “leadership background, breadth of experience with customers, and industry expertise.”
Jackson previously served as SVP of operations for dedicated contract carriage and SVP of Eastern region operations. He also worked with Penske Truck Leasing as Northeast area VP as well as district manager in Tampa and Memphis.
His nearly three decades’ worth of industry experience also includes time at Rollins Truck Leasing, where he held several roles before Penske acquired it, his corporate bio notes.
Althen will remain in an advisory capacity until March 31, a company spokesperson told Trucking Dive in an email.
The incoming president described his fellow executives as a dynamic leadership team that has “built an incredible logistics and supply chain business” and has “tremendous opportunities ahead.”
