Penske Automotive Group acquired Transolutions Truck Centres, a Winnipeg, Canada-based dealership selling and servicing Freightliner and Western Star models, according to an announcement this month.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Transolutions Truck Centres is also the licensed dealer for SelecTrucks, Daimler Truck’s used vehicle brand, for the Manitoba territory. It has three dealerships and two parts-and-service centers, and the acquisition includes 73 service bays and about 200 employees, 59 of them technicians.
The deal adds a combined 146,611 square feet of facilities and brings Penske Automotive’s Premier Truck Group into Manitoba for the first time.
“For more than 30 years, Transolutions Truck Centers has built a strong legacy of providing quality service to customers across Manitoba,” Premier Truck Group President Ron Long said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing their legacy.”
Penske Automotive Group expects to generate about $180 million in annualized revenue from the acquisition. With the new facilities, Premier Truck Group now has 44 locations across North America.
