Paccar President and CFO Harrie Schippers is retiring after 39 years of service, effective June 2, 2025, according to an April 1 securities filing.
Brice Poplawski will succeed Schippers as CFO, and will be promoted to SVP, as well. Poplawski has been with Paccar for 27 years, and most recently served as VP and controller since June 2023, per the filing.
Paccar, which manufactures premium light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, has been grappling with the Trump administration’s electric vehicle mandates.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order, in January, opposing electric vehicle mandates. Despite the order, Paccar won’t halt its battery plant venture with Cummins and Daimler.
Still, the OEM did note to investors that its phasing of the project could be adjusted based on market demands.
“If I could remake the decision now, knowing what I know, I’d make the same decision,” Paccar CEO Preston Feight said on a Jan. 28 earnings call. “It’s a long-term, strategic objective for our company to be able to offer our customers a full portfolio of powertrain choices.”
