Dive Insight:
OnLine has already racked up a series of added companies, such as Mustang Express, Ormsby Trucking, Pleasant Trucking and Shoun Trucking.
OnLine plans to continue this M&A activity, seeking to add more dry van and reefer carriers “to become one of the largest asset-based logistics providers headquartered in Indiana,” CEO Kalvin Cook said in the release.
In a recent statement on the deal, Cook said “We are combining two award-winning fleets to provide world class service and capacity to our shipper partners and provide opportunities for our employees to grow,” Cook said in the statement about the recent deal.
The company didn’t immediately return messages seeking comment.
Other carriers have also made recent M&A moves. Schneider National said Aug. 1 that the carrier acquired Massachusetts-based M&M Transport. A day earlier, Titanium Transportation Group shared details on its purchase of assets from Georgia-based Crane Transport as the carrier looks to optimize equipment, technology and profits.
