Nikola is close to finding a replacement for its CFO position, following the departure of Anastasiya “Stasy” Pasterick on Dec. 1, the company reported last week.
The maker of electric and hydrogen fuel cell trucks is in talks with a potential new CFO, said Nikola President and CEO Steve Girsky during a Q4 earnings call.
Girsky said the candidate has experience as CFO in other publicly listed companies, has “relevant operational experience,” and understands the “urgency with which we need to keep moving and break new ground.”
Pasterick left to become CFO of Universal Hydrogen starting Dec. 4. Girsky took on financial duties starting Feb. 14 through the roles of acting CFO, principal financial officer and principal accounting officer.
Pasterick joined Nikola over four years ago and served as corporate controller, serving in a key role to complete the business’ special purpose acquisition company merger in 2020, according to the company.
Pasterick took over as CFO from Kim Brady, who started with Nikola in 2017 and retired in April.
“We continue to attract top tier talent and have a world-class management team in place for the long haul,” Girsky told investors.
