Online Transport has acquired Mustang Express of El Paso, Texas, according to a June 7 press release.
Mustang’s asset-based operation with more than 60 drivers will help Online expand and gain market share in regions and routes they now serve, according to the release. The purchase also provides Online Transport access to Mustang Express’s El Paso, Texas terminal, which creates opportunities to haul freight from the Mexican border to the Midwest.
Kreshmore Group represented Mustang Express in the transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Greenfield, Indiana-based 3PL and carrier Online Transport launched in 2000. Its services include warehousing, yard management, cross-docking, distribution, as well as OTR, truckload, bulk liquid, flatbed, temperature-controlled and dry van transportation.
Mustang Express was launched in 2001 by Rick and Laura Hernandez with one truck, according to the company’s website. Their fleet has grown to 32 tractors with more than 60 employees.
The El Paso-based carrier specializes in hauling automotive parts and supplies, medical products, paper products, technology, and raw materials. The company offers customers just-in-time solutions, 3PL warehousing, truckload services and dedicated manufacturing support transportation.
