Love’s Travel Stops is expanding its Ohio network with the opening of a location in Belmont, at Exit 208 off Interstate 70, according to an April 3 press release.
The new, 17,600-square-foot travel stop is the company’s fourth new store of 2025. It adds 121 parking spaces for professional truck drivers in the southeastern part of the state, which is among the largest number of parking spots across its 15 locations in the Buckeye State.
The Belmont travel stop will also add 120 jobs, nine diesel bays, nine showers, laundry and a CAT scale. The location also includes restaurants, such as Godfather’s Pizza, Hardee’s and Loves Fresh Kitchen. It is also home to Love’s newest Speedco location, offering minor repair work and preventative maintenance like tire and lube services.
Nationwide, Love’s is expanding quickly in 2025, with plans to construct 20 stores and upgrade 50 others to help address the shortage of truck parking spaces.
The company plans to add approximately 1,000 parking spaces this year as part of its Strategic Remodel Initiative, as well as 12 maintenance bays and six emergency roadside vehicles to support truck drivers. Love’s aims to have over 50,000 parking spaces across the country by the end of 2025, according to a January press release.
“Being strategic with how we update existing locations — and keeping them open during the process — strengthens Love’s commitment to getting customers back on the road quickly,” said Randy Swain, director of construction and remodels for Love’s, in a 2023 press release.
In total, Love’s expects to invest $1 billion in 200 locations by 2028.
