Averitt Express promoted Richard Egan, its director of international solutions, to succeed retiring VP of International Solutions Charlie McGee, the carrier announced Nov. 18.
Egan, who joined the LTL carrier in 2019, has 40 years of international logistics experience.
“His extensive background in international logistics and proven leadership are invaluable as we continue expanding our global services to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Kent Williams, Averitt’s EVP of sales and marketing.

In the new job, Egan will drive strategic initiatives to enhance the carrier’s international logistics offerings, the company said.
“His expertise and commitment to service excellence have contributed significantly to Averitt’s growth in this sector,” Averitt said in the release.
