- Artur Express is partnering with Kodiak Robotics on autonomous trucks, reserving 100 tractors installed with the technology, a spokesperson for the AV company said in an email to Trucking Dive.
- The carrier sees an opportunity to give drivers more accommodating schedules and explore help from the autonomous sector, the Hazelwood, Missouri-headquartered business said in a news post.

Artur Express sees advantages to exploring the technology early, with benefits also including reduced fuel consumption, according to Co-President Tom Tokarczyk.
The carrier and self-driving tech firm are now working towards identifying the most suitable lanes in the carrier’s network, Kodiak said. Artur Express’ network covers 48 states and has over 800 trucks and more than 3,200 trailers, per its LinkedIn page.
AV firms are vying for fleets’ buy-in as they seek to commercialize and scale operations.
While some states have created uncertainty with proposed bills seeking more oversight of the technology’s development, self-driving long-haul trucking tech leaders envision broad adoption of autonomous vehicles and more efficient supply chains.
