This year's Advanced Clean Transportation Expo, a green trucking forum held in Long Beach, California, clearly showed that fleet and OEM officials are ready to get back to convention attendance. The numbers don't lie.
In April 2019, the event had 4,000 attendees. In 2021, 4,900 people signed up to attend — almost a 25% jump, according to Erik Neandross, a spokesperson and co-organizer of the ACT Expo.
ACT Expo has always been about the future. It informs fleets, OEMs and suppliers on what green tech is being used, and many electric and fuel-cell vehicles are on display.
Experts speaking on panels made it clear: The future is zero emissions. "The endgame is zero," said Navistar's Gary Horvat.
