XPO Logistics named Jamie Harris chief financial officer of the logistics company’s planned truck brokerage spinoff, according to a Wednesday announcement.
Harris, who comes from the engineering firm SPX Technologies, will steer the finance operations of RXO once the spinoff is completed sometime in the fourth quarter. Until then, he will serve as CFO of XPO’s North American transportation division beginning Sept. 26.
“Harris is a career CFO with 35 years of accomplishments in B2B sectors, including two decades with public companies,” the release said.
At SPX Technologies, Harris served as vice president, CFO and treasurer from August 2020 to the present. He also has nearly two decades of experience with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, serving as a director and taking on various executive positions from 2003 through 2018, with consulting work thereafter.
Other companies on his résumé include Elevate Textiles, MedCath Corp., Fresh Foods and Ernst & Young, according to a securities filing.
XPO also announced David Murray will become RXO’s vice president, treasurer and financial shared services. Murray will join XPO’s North American transportation division effective immediately.
RXO will branch off XPO's brokerage operations and seek to grow services for managed transportation, last-mile logistics and global forwarding.
“Our RXO C-suite is now nearly complete,” Drew Wilkerson, who will become the CEO of RXO, said in the release, noting he’s “extremely pleased with the strong leadership team we’ve created.”
